Introduction:

Indoor rock climbing is the climbing indoors on artificial 'rock' walls in a safe and controlled environment. Indoor rock climbing has exploded in popularity, with most urban centers having at least one indoor climbing facility. These gyms are popular with experienced climbers who may not be able to climb outside due to poor weather conditions. They are also very popular amongst those people who want to get an introduction to the sport.
