Introduction:

Snowboarding is the winter activity of travelling down a ski slope on a snowboard. The sport has exploded in popularity in recent years with many 'ski' slopes attracting as much if not more snowboarders than skiers. It was long ago that snowboarders where actually banned from using the ski lifts. Snowboarding is really a combination of skiing, surfing and skateboarding.
