Introduction:
Have you ever wanted to know what that pet hamster of yours was feeling when spinning inside that wheel? Well zorbing will answer that for you. Zorbing is a giant clear sphere which you enter from the side and secure your feet and hands and then you are 'pushed' down a steep slope. Actually the sphere is comprised of two separate plastic balls, and outer and inner sphere .(1)Zorbs can usually accomodate between one and three individuals. While most zorbing does take place on a closed circuit, it can be done on water and/or on level surfaces with the rider running inside the wheel to provide forward motion.
Did You Know?
* The world record speed in a zorb is 32mph(52km/h), held by Keith Kolver.(2)
* Zorbing was invented by Dwayn van der Sluis and Andrew Akers in New Zealand in 1995.
