Introduction:
Until you have flown in a glider you have really never really experienced the miracle of flight. Gliders are humans first attempt to fly like a bird before combustion engines helped revolutionize air travel. Gliders fly like a bird and just like a bird they use thermal currents to stay in the air. In fact gliders can stay in the air for hours with the record flight being 12 hours that covered 1000 km in distance.1 Flights usually last for only about an hour but if you catch the glider bug, there are many glider schools available for you to pursue your dream of flying like an eagle.
